Whidbey issues get state-wide attention

Laura PierceOn Wednesday, October 11, Whidbey Community Foundation hosted an event for the new Executive Director of Washington Nonprofits.  As the state association for all nonprofits, Washington Nonprofits makes sure nonprofits have what they need to succeed.

Washington Nonprofits helps increase the influence that nonprofits have with policymakers and philanthropy, so that they have a place at the table when decisions are made. It connects nonprofits to people and resources so that they can focus on getting the job done.

Laura Pierce, the new Executive Director of Washington Nonprofits, is visiting various regions around the state on a Listening Tour to build relationships in each community, listen to what we want from Washington Nonprofits, and engage local elected officials and journalists. It will help launch their strategic planning process as your state association. The meeting was held on October 11 at the Whidbey Telecom Conference Room in Freeland.
