Whidbey Community Foundation is excited to welcome Lynn Goebel to our Board of Directors. WCF’s 12 Board members represent north, south, and central Whidbey Island. Formed in 2016, Whidbey Community Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life on Whidbey Island by providing support for the nonprofit sector, assisting donors to build and preserve enduring assets for charitable purposes, and meeting community needs through financial awards.
Lynn is a retired educator and a long-time resident of Oak Harbor, where she is deeply passionate about serving her community. Alongside her husband, Greg, a former naval pilot who currently flies for FedEx, she has raised their two children in Oak Harbor. Lynn is now serving her second term on the Oak Harbor School Board. She is a member of the Oak Harbor Creative Arts Foundation. Lynn is also a graduate of Leadership Whidbey and currently serves on the Curriculum Team. Additionally, Lynn was a participant on the founding committee for the Oak Harbor Music Festival and serves as the Governance Chair for the festival. Together, Lynn and Greg have supported numerous local organizations that have a positive impact on the community. Lynn is always eager to volunteer her time for worthy projects.
