As we look back on 2024, we’re proud of the strides we’ve made to strengthen our community, deepen partnerships, and ensure Whidbey Island remains a place of opportunity and support for all. We also recognize the uncertainties ahead—from economic challenges to shifting social dynamics—that underscore the importance of local resilience and the role community foundations play in helping neighbors thrive.
“Last year, we focused on providing critical support where it was needed most, investing in long-term solutions, and advancing initiatives in impact investing and legacy giving,” said Jessie Gunn, WCF Executive Director. “Our work is made possible through collaboration with nonprofits, generous donors, and community partners who share our vision for a thriving Whidbey Island.”
