Holly Harlan joined the Whidbey Community Foundation as the Development & Donor Services Manager in November 2024, bringing over 30 years of experience in both for-profit and non-profit sectors. Her deep passion for Whidbey Island and commitment to strengthening its community guides her work in cultivating donor relationships, developing fundraising strategies, and empowering local non-profits.
Holly’s career highlights include leading a team to raise $4.8 million over five years for the Whidbey Institute, significantly enhancing its operational and capital capacity, and founding an economic development organization in Northeast Ohio that engaged over 10,000 leaders to build a sustainable regional economy.
A strong advocate for community collaboration, Holly was a champion for launching Leadership Whidbey in 2017 and served on its executive committee until 2023. Her dedication to fostering inclusive leadership and attracting resources for the Island ensures a lasting legacy for the community.
