Whidbey Community Foundation (WCF) is pleased to announce that the Whidbey Climate Fund grant program is now accepting applications through October 15, 2025. The Whidbey Climate Fund supports local projects that address climate change through mitigation and resilience efforts, helping ensure a more sustainable future for Whidbey Island.
What is a Whidbey Climate Fund Grant?
Whidbey Climate ACTION, in partnership with Whidbey Community Foundation, is seeking proposals that reduce greenhouse gases and enhance sustainability in our community. Successful projects will help reduce our carbon footprint and make Whidbey Island more livable and sustainable for future generations. Applications will be reviewed by a committee of local volunteers with climate expertise, with a maximum grant award of $5,000.

About Whidbey Climate Action
Whidbey Climate ACTION was founded to promote community and sustainability in the fight against climate change. The group grew out of the work of the Langley City Council’s Climate Crisis Action Committee, a citizen’s board that advised and proposed projects for the council’s declared Climate Emergency. We work with our Whidbey Island neighbors, to promote, finance and implement rapid, just, and measurable actions and advocacy that fully meet the scale and urgency of the climate crisis.
