Whidbey Community Foundation is excited to announce it has granted awards to 35 nonprofits from its 2025 Community Health Grant Program and Nonprofit Capacity Building Grant Program. This year WCF received over 71 applications totaling more than $498,500.
“Each year, our Grants Committee brings together dedicated community members from across Whidbey Island to help shape how WCF invests in local impact,” said Jessie Gunn, WCF Executive Director. “We’re excited to continue growing our grant programs—like the Community Health and Nonprofit Capacity Building Grants—that strengthen the organizations and people who make our island thrive.”
WCF awarded 35 grantees totaling over $228,000 this year spanning all parts of Whidbey Island.
“This year we were able to award an increased number of grants in the $10,000 range and would like to thank our donors and community supporters who have helped us to reach this point,” said Gunn. “We were able to make grants to 35 nonprofits from different funds held at WCF thanks to our generous donors. This year our grants were funded by the Foundation Fund and the Rebecca Ann Cleary Fund.”
Since grants were first awarded in 2017, Whidbey Community Foundation has provided over 800 grants totaling over $5 million.
