2023-2025 Strategic Plan

In the second half of 2022, the WCF board and staff came together to reflect on our purpose and look ahead to how we will achieve our vision. We are pleased to present our 2023-2025 Strategic Plan, which includes strengthening nonprofits, increasing grantmaking impact, and reaching donors with more options to leverage their philanthropic interests. For instance, we plan to increase our Annual Grant Cycle from $125,000 to $150,000 in 2023 and are thrilled to bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to Whidbey Island this year.

Whidbey Community Foundation Becomes Imagination Library Affiliate in Island County

Whidbey Community Foundation is excited to announce they are now a Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library affiliate! All families with children ages 0-5 on Whidbey Island are now able to register and begin receiving a free book for their child every month, mailed directly to their home until the child’s fifth birthday. Families can enroll online by visiting our website.

Celebrating Our 2022 Grantees

Whidbey Community Foundation hosted a reception last week for all of its 2022 Grantees. It was wonderful to gather again in person! We last hosted a grantee reception in the same space at Pacific Rim Institute more than 3 years ago. Since then, our community has weathered unprecedented challenges and still we persevere. In the 6 short years since WCF was formed, we have been able to grant nearly $1.5 million to nonprofits in our community!
