5 Ways to Make Your Website More Accessible – Website Workshops for Whidbey Nonprofits
July 7, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
As nonprofits navigate a more virtual world, websites are increasingly critical to advance nonprofits’ missions, raise
funds, and communicate impact. Whidbey Community Foundation has partnered with website developer Scott Marlow
to offer a suite of virtual workshops for Whidbey nonprofits interested in exploring website redesigns, and how to optimize of their sites for user accessibility and virtual fundraisers.
5 Ways to Make Your Website More Accessible
In this 1.5 hour virtual class, participants will learn how to make your website more inclusive by following Web Content
Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Regardless of your visitors’ personal capabilities – everyone should be able to access
your content. In this hands-on class – free publicly available tools will be used to evaluate a live domain for accessibility
errors. Participants will learn methods to quickly identify and fix common accessibility issues.
Whidbey Community Foundation has made these workshops available for FREE to Whidbey Island organizations, with
support from Washington Nonprofits and the Office of the Washington Secretary of State.
Request to participate in these workshops by completing the form in the following link:
