Support your Community Foundation and Create a Better Whidbey Island
When you support Whidbey Community Foundation — as a donor, a nonprofit organization, a financial advisor or simply as a caring community member — you help us fulfil local needs that no other single organization can fulfill. We help donors explore ways to make strategic contributions that align with their charitable goals while maximizing tax advantages. We connect nonprofits to education, training, capacity-building and funding that support and energize their missions. And we bring our community together to support both philanthropists and charitable organizations, deepening our shared commitment to making Whidbey a more vital and caring place to live and visit. Call us at 360.660.5041 or email us today to learn more. Whidbey Community Foundation’s federal EIN is 81-3860867.
You can support the Whidbey Island we all love in these ways:
Donate to the COVID-19 Community Resilience Fund: Whidbey Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Community Resilience Fund will provide resources to nonprofit and volunteer organizations on our Island working with our friends and neighbors who are impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of this outbreak. More information here.
Establish a donor-advised fund: Have ongoing involvement in the use of your gift as you work with our professional staff to identify ways to use earnings from your Donor Advised Fund to address the issues and needs you care about. You could even involve your children in philanthropy by having them serve on an advisory committee for your fund. Contact us for information on how to establish your fund.
Donate to a Community Impact Fund: Your gift can address ever-changing community needs in the areas of Animal Welfare, Arts and Culture, Education, Environment and Recreation, Health and Wellness, and Human Services. As the funds grow, we will make grants to local nonprofits through the Community Impact Fund.
Support the Foundation’s work: Your tax-deductible gifts will build your new Foundation from the ground up, fuel our ability to provide training and other assistance to nonprofits, and help us grow into one of the most effective community foundations in Washington. Support the Foundation’s work today by donating now, or contact us to get more information.
Participate in the annual Christmas Fund: Each November, renowned sculptor Georgia Gerber and her husband, Randy Hudson create a Christmas Sculpture that is available for purchase through the Whidbey Community Foundation. Sales of the Christmas Sculpture benefit nonprofit organizations on Whidbey Island.
