
More than 80 nonprofit staff, board, and volunteers attended a free workshop on fundraising in November, hosted by Whidbey Community Foundation. WCF was pleased to partner again with Washington Nonprofits to bring professional training entitled, “Ask, Thank, Report, Repeat.”
Attendees learned how to write, design, and deliver great fundraising appeals, and tips for increasing the return from direct mail, special events, and major donor gift acquisition. Jim Shapiro, co-founder of The Better Fundraising Co, traveled to Coupeville to present the well-received training. Jim has more than 20 years’ experience serving and working in the nonprofit sector.
